Your userpage is not to be used as advertising or promotion as a pseudo-article. please remember that Wikipedia is not MySpace. Your userpage is for anything that is compatible with the Wikipedia project. It is a mistake to think of it as a homepage: Wikipedia is not a blog, webspace provider, or social networking site. [edit] Your uploads
Good day. I see that you have uploaded a number of images to Wikipedia. First off, thank you for your contributions. Unfortunately, there are some guidelines that we need to follow with copyrighted images. Specifically, you need to add a source for the image (a link to a website will do), a copyright tag (there are some listed at WP:ICT), and a rationale explaining why we can use a copyrighted image (explained at WP:NFURG). I see that your images fail to include one of these. Please stop uploading images and address the concerns listed above. If you need assistance, you can ask at the help desk. If you do not fix these images, and you continue to make bad uploads, you will be blocked and your images will be deleted. Thanks for your contributions! --uǝʌǝsʎʇɹoɟʇs(st47) 14:11, 23 April 2008 (UTC)

{{unblock|Hello, I started editing an article today for the first time and was uploading images, which were record covers. Apologies but I did not really understand the licence situation or how to add the licence criteria. I have looked at other pages and seen how others have put licence information in the Additional Information fields. I uploaded so many images at once as I thought this would save time; upload images, do all editing later, etc. Apologies for confusion, but this was my first attempt at editing a page with images. }}

- Hi. To contest the "replaceable fair use" tag on Image:Paulhaig.jpg you need to state why the image cannot be replaced, not just that you think it's fair use. Paul Haig is a living person so anyone could go find him and take a picture of him, which makes the image replaceable and the fair use claim invalid. Hope this clarifies. Ha! [edit] Orphaned non-free media (Image:Cinematique1.jpg)
Thanks for uploading Image:Cinematique1.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 12:19, 24 April 2008 (UTC)

[edit] AfD nomination of Dub Organiser
I have nominated Dub Organiser, an article you created, for deletion. I do not feel that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Dub Organiser. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time. Do you want to opt out of receiving this notice? asenine t/c\r (fc: f2abr04) 12:22, 25 April 2008 (UTC)
Reply: I do not agree with you assertion that the Dub Organiser page sould be deleted. The article is suitable AND relevant as it is an important release in the career of Paul Haig, an important Scottish musician. Deletion of this article would make his Wiki articles incomplete, which I believe is not in the spirit of Wiki.
[edit] Notability of Coincidence Vs Fate
Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Coincidence Vs Fate, by another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Coincidence Vs Fate seems to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.
To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting Coincidence Vs Fate, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Feel free to contact the bot operator if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot, bearing in mind that this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion; it does not perform any nominations or deletions itself. [edit] Image:Somethinggood7.jpg
I have tagged Image:Somethinggood7.jpg as {{orphaned fairuse}}. In order for the image to be kept at Wikipedia, it must be included in at least one article. If this image is being used as a link target instead of displayed inline, please add {{not orphan}} to the image description page to prevent it being accidentally marked as orphaned again. Melesse (talk) 08:45, 27 April 2008 (UTC)
- Apologies, I had uploaded the image but not created the article. I have done so now.
-
- I've removed the {{orphaned fairuse}} tag. Ha! (talk) 10:48, 27 April 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Size of the album|cover art
Hi. You're uploading album art|covers at around 500-600 pixels width. They're basically the same size as the original CD covers which may not make them fair use. I recommend re-uploading them at a size of 200px wide. See Template:Infobox_Album#Cover, Template_talk:Non-free_album_cover#Resolution and Wikipedia_talk:Non-free_content/Archive_24#Low_resolution for further information. Thanks Ha! (talk) 11:52, 27 April 2008 (UTC)
Oh yeah, I see your point. I'll reupload the images as and when I get time. Hope that is OK.
[edit] Dub Organiser
Why did you add Category:Paul Haig albums to this article? The article indicates that Dub Organiser only released two songs on a single, not a full album. --Metropolitan90 (talk) 02:15, 2 May 2008 (UTC)
