Torres Strait Regional Authority

The Torres Strait Regional Authority (TSRA) is an Australian Government body established to administer the Torres Strait Islands.The TSRA consists of 20 elected representatives.[1]

The primary function of the Authority is to strengthen the economic, social and cultural development of the peoples of the Torres Strait area. The TSRA was setup to replace the activities that were previously conducted by the abolished Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Commission.
