Torneo Argentino B

Torneo Argentino B is one of two leagues that form the regionalised fourth level of the Argentine Football Association (AFA) football league system. Clubs in Torneo Argentinos B come from all over Argentina.

The other league at level four is is the Primera C Metropolitana which is for clubs from the city of Buenos Aires and its metropolitan area (Greater Buenos Aires).

The first round of Torneo Argentino B sees the 48 teams divided into six zonal groups (Zone A to Zone F); each with eight clubs. After four rounds of fixtures (28 games) the top two from each group, along with the 4 best third places go through to the 2nd round.

The teams are divided into four groups of four, after two rounds of fixtures (6 games) the top team from each group advance to the finals.

The four teams are paired, playing a two legged tie to determine the two teams to gain automatic promotion to Torneo Argentino A. The two losing sides still have a chance of promotion by facing two legged promotion/relegation playoffs with teams from Torneo Argentino A.

The six teams finishing bottom of their groups will face a two legged promotion/relegation playoffs with teams from Torneo Argentino C.
