[edit] Appearance
The Tornado Gundams are the initial units given to the player upon first starting the game. As the name suggests, they are Gundam-type mobile suits. They share many of the characteristics of their brethren, such as two optics, humanoid shape and the traditional V-fin head crest. Unlike most Gundams, however, the Tornado Gundams are coloured black and dark-blue. This gives them more than a passing resemblance to the Huckebein from the Super Robot Wars series of games.
[edit] Armament
In the game, the Tornado Gundams are armed with the bread-and-butter of mobile suit warfare: beam sabers, beam rifles and torso built-in scattering beam gun. The Tornados also feature pair of Gatling gun mounted underneath each forearm.
[edit] Evaluation
In SD Gundam G Generation F, unless player load the save data from SD Gundam G Generation Zero, three of Tornado Gundam and a ship (either Salamis-Class Cruiser or Medea Transport Plane, depend on the chosen first chapter) will be given to player for free. With solid stats in all areas, the Tornado Gundams are good, adaptable units that can fight in virtually any terrain. While no match for far more powerful mecha like the RX-93 Nu Gundam or GGF-001 Phoenix Gundam, the Tornados provide a player with a solid base from which he or she can begin developing more powerful mobile suits. Several of mass production type units like RGM-79 GM can be acquired by combining data of Tornado Gundam with other Gundam type units during intermission.
In SD Gundam G Generation Spirits, pair of Tornado Gundam are part of player's starting squad. They're piloted by Eris Clod and Lanalow Jade, two of recurrance original character since the first SD Gundam G Generation game.
