Tori Amos discography

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

This is a discography for American pianist and singer-songwriter Tori Amos.

In 1979, at the age of sixteen, Amos and her brother co-wrote the winning song for a contest titled "Baltimore" which was recorded and pressed locally as a 7" single. Prior to her solo career, Amos was the singer of punk-rock band Y Kant Tori Read, which released one self-titled album in 1988 before breaking up shortly thereafter. In addition, Amos contributed minor vocal parts on a number of other artists' recordings during this time.

Amos' solo career began in 1992 with the release of her debut solo album Little Earthquakes. Signed to Atlantic Records and its UK counterpart East West for approximately the first 15 years of her career, she fulfilled her last contractual obligation to Atlantic in 2003. Subsequently, Amos released under Epic Records for six years before operating independently of record labels. Additionally, Amos has released a box set with Rhino Entertainment and several digital releases distributed online. To date, Amos has recorded a total of nine studio albums, multiple live releases, a compilation album, a box set, and numerous singles and EPs. A highly active artist, she has contributed to numerous film soundtracks as well.
