The Lappet-faced Vulture (Torgos tracheliotos) is a species of bird of prey in the Accipitridae family. It is found in Algeria, Angola, Benin, Botswana, Burkina Faso, Burundi, Cameroon, Central African Republic, Chad, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Ivory Coast, Djibouti, Egypt, Equatorial Guinea, Eritrea, Ethiopia, France, Gambia, Israel, Jordan, Kenya, Libya, Malawi, Mali, Mauritania, Morocco, Mozambique, Namibia, Niger, Oman, Palestinian Territory, Occupied, Rwanda, Saudi Arabia, Senegal, Somalia, South Africa, Sudan, Swaziland, Tanzania, Togo, Uganda, United Arab Emirates, Yemen, Zambia, Zimbabwe, possibly Nigeria, possibly Syria, and possibly Western Sahara. Its natural habitats are dry savanna, moist savanna, subtropical or tropical dry shrubland, and hot deserts.
