Torgeir Bryn (born August 19, 1964 in Oslo) is a professional basketball player from Norway. He received his degree as a gym teacher at the Norwegian Folkehøgskole in Oslo. Bryn is notable for being the first Scandinavian to play in the NBA, and remains the only Norwegian who has played in the league thus far. His performances, for the Los Angeles Clippers, were limited to playing ten minutes over three matches. In these matches he scored four points.
Bryn also played professionally for a number of European clubs. His Norwegian clubs include Ammerud Basket, Oslo Kings and Harstad Vikings. He is the most capped player for the Norway national basketball team, with 111 matches. He had his best season for Ammerud in 97-98, when he averaged 27 points, 18 rebounds and 7 blocks per game and was named the Norway League MVP that season.
