Tore Ruud Hofstad (born August 9, 1979) was a professional Norwegian cross-country skier who has competed since 1998. He won five medals at the FIS Nordic World Ski Championships with three golds (2003: 4 x 10 km, 2005: team sprint, 4 x 10 km), one silver (2003: Individual sprint), and one bronze (2005: 15 km).

Hofstad has eight individual victories from 2001 to 2005 and presently skis for Lillehammer Skiklub.

After a long term illnesses he was diognised with Twar(Chlamydia pneumoniae)
