Torbat-e-Heydarieh County

Torbat-e-Heydarieh County (Persian: شهرستان تربت حیدریه) is a county in Razavi Khorasan Province in Iran. The capital of the county is Torbat-e Heydarieh.

Torbat - Heydarieh city is 1005 km. far from Tehran and is located in a mountainous region on the skirt of mountain having different weathers in different areas. In the past, this city was called "Zaveh", According to a narrative in 13th century AD., Sheikh Haydar -famous Gnostic- was living there. The change of its name from "Zaveh" to Torbat-Haydarieh is related to the life and tomb of this great Gnostic. The existing cultural heritage belong to Sasanian time and 13th century AD. and are as follows: Bazeh Hovar and Robat Sefid fire - temple, Ghotb-e-dinn Haydar, Sheik Haydar, Sheik Abolghasema nd Shoh Senjan tombs.
