Tora Aasland (born November 6, 1942 in Skien) is a Norwegian politician for the Socialist Left Party.

She was elected to the Norwegian Parliament from Akershus in 1985, and was re-elected on one occasion.

Aasland was a deputy member of the executive committee of Nesodden municipality council during the terms 1975–1979 and 1979–1983.

Mrs. Aasland was appointed the Norwegian Minister of Research and Higher Education on the 18th of October, 2007.
