[edit] Great page
Thank you anyone who has contributed to this page, it looks great.

- No problems, I live in Torquay and support United so it was more of a little project giving them a wiki they deserved rather than the good but very basic and bare one that already existed. I've also updated the squad list today with a few new players and confirmed squad numbers, added a notable fans section (not that theres many) and inserted a little bit about Waddle's brief stay at the club.

[edit] Restructuring
I'm planning to do a fairly major restructuring job on this article in the near future. Apart from clearing up grammatical, spelling and style errors, I think it would be a good idea to move the bulk of the history section to a separate article. Any thoughts anyone? - I'd be interested to know what the club badge is all about, it's quite unusual. Dancarney 14:53, 29 March 2006 (UTC)
- I've slapped the 'neutrality' box on here as - although as an Aston Villa fan I know how frustrating a self-serving chairman can be - it's not sufficiently neutral and encyclopaedic IMV Martyn Smith 20:58, 20 August 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Nickname - Torque??
Where does the Torque nickname come from? Never heard it before! Jaded1 07:56, 26 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Anyone else depressed?
Should we add something like "the club is currently trying to set a record for most league games without a win"? It looks like that's all the club is going to achieve this year. Slizor 14:35, 2 January 2007 (UTC)
- Not depressed, just accepting the inevitable. Where's Stevenage when you need them? Totnesmartin 13:22, 5 January 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Leroy Rosenior
His article says he played for Sierra Leone as an adult. Should we put this country's flag in the managers table? Totnesmartin 23:06, 4 March 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Torquay United Association Football Club
The official name of this club is Torquay AFC. Take a look at the bottom of any of the pages on their website? For instance, http://www.torquayunited.premiumtv.co.uk/page/Home/0,,10445,00.html. Quite clearly it says Torquay AFC at the bottom of EVERY PAGE! jkm 16:09, 3 May 2007 (UTC)
- I personally wouldn't trust anything on that particular website! WikiGull 11:41, 5 May 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:Torquay United Football Club Logo.png
Image:Torquay United Football Club Logo.png is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.
