[edit] Tornado photo
This is a great photo of a tornado if you can ignore the reflections off the windshield. This is from Glenville in 2001

- Public domain? I don't think it can be used on this page.-RunningOnBrains 03:02, 10 July 2007 (UTC)
- Apparently, {{PD-USGov-NOAA}} applies to all images stored on their servers, unless otherwise specified. This image is still a bit poor with the window reflection, but could be used. What tornado is this (more importantly, what page is this image from?)-RunningOnBrains 23:16, 27 May 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Content merged for Oct 24 tornado
Following the expert review (thanks to User:Runningonbrains), I have merged the content of North Central Indiana-Michigan Tornado Outbreak into here, with a bit shortening. But someone should have a look at the text and maybe also sort the sources better; I put all the external links of that article as sources into the first paragraph of the section. --B. [edit] Criteria
Out of curiosity, what criteria do we use for these articles? Is it any tornado we can find or should be there be some degree of notability?
Gopher backer (talk) 21:26, 27 May 2008 (UTC)
- I've been going with the following as criteria of inclusion:
- Any tornado/outbreak resulting in a fatality/multiple injuries
- Any tornado/outbreak causing significant damage (generally more than $500K, or F3+ damage)
- Any outbreak of 20 or more tornadoes.
- Any tornado in a state/area averaging less than one or two tornadoes per year.
- Other unusual circumstances
- I started this a while ago, and have been pretty liberal with my inclusion; I figure anything determined to be non-notable can be easily removed later. -RunningOnBrains 23:04, 27 May 2008 (UTC)
