Middle-earth Wikiproject This article is within the scope of WikiProject Middle-earth, which aims to build an encyclopedic guide to J. R. R. Tolkien, his legendarium, and related topics. Please visit the project talk page for suggestions and ideas on how you can improve this and other articles.
Note: Though it states in the Guide to writing better articles that generally fictional articles should be written in present tense, all Tolkien legendarium-related articles that cover in-universe material must be written in past tense. Please see Wikipedia:WikiProject Middle-earth/Standards for more information about this and other article standards.

[edit] Added References

I have added more references from third party sources. The first new one in particular is referenced itself and gives a complete description of the geography of the cave. The others are not as good, but they are only used to back up the statement that some people hold a certain opnion. There aren't a great deal of reliable, third-party sources for Tolkien's works, or at least ones I have access to, so try to verify their reliability and remove them/add more references as necessary. I think the tag can be removed now but I think it's best to wait until I can be sure. --Qmwne235 21:45, 28 October 2007 (UTC)

If this article is to be merged with Cirith Ungol, I'd like to have a reason first. I'm not going to argue against it, as I trust the judgement of thw Wikiproject and administrators over my own. However, I'd like a specific reason, and an opportunity for me to fix the problem. I'm guessing that it's something related to notability. Note that Torech Ungol is completely separated from Cirith Ungol; perhaps there would be a better article into which to merge this. --Qmwne235 23:28, 20 May 2008 (UTC)
