Topher McFarlane [1] is a creative movie and television individual who has recieved much success in various aspects. He publishes ideas for movies and tv shows on his personal website regularly and hopes to create them if anyone is interested.

He also appeared on the show Canadian Idol for the Best of the Worst Episode. He was in the commerical for the show and also was commented on by Sass Jordan and Farley Flex. He sang the Spice Girls "Stop" and was asked to "Stop right now!" On top of the fan fare of this performance, McFarlane was interviewed by the Edmonton Journal and the University of Alberta Campus News for the activity.

As well as experience with Canadian Idol, McFarlane auditioned for the tv show "Much Music VJ Search 2006" although his auditions and banter with the host was excellent he never made it. But he did appear on the website advertising his stunt, where he dropped his pants in front of a whole cafeteria.

McFarlane currently attends the University of Alberta taking a Bachelor of Arts with a Sociology Major and Film Studies Minor. He went into Sociology because of Jana Grekul one of the top researchers on the Alberta Eugenics movement. He graduates in 2007.

In his 4 years McFarlane was Siderite coordinator, which is the GLBT residence support group and had articles in the Lister Lighthouse, Edmonton Journal and U of A Gateway about his events and activities. He was instrumental in bringing the Campus Wide Drag Show to the Powerplant where it fills a capacity house every year. As well he was responsible for organizing the 2nd Annaul Day of Silence at the U of A, making it the only knowing campus in Canada that participates. He is still involved and the event is strong.

In 2004-2005 McFarlane was Floor Coordinator in Lister Centre on 4th Mackenzie. He acted as Lister Idol Host, Appeared in 2 Lister Hall Movies, Recieved Floor Coordinator of the Month and Year, created the sell out event Let's Skit it on! and created .44 Calibre. In the end he left with pride and dignity. Truly loving the building.

McFarlane is a creative and unique individual worth keeping your eye on.
