Top100 Singles

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Top100 Singles or VIVA Top 100 are the German single charts. It charts only consists of actual CD and download sales. Between 1989 and 2001, airplay was also involved but only for the ranks between 51 and 100. Since September 2004 downloads have also been added to the calculation. Songs that do not climb higher than position 50 within nine weeks are removed from the charts. The system was once again changed in July 2007: Singles no longer need a physical release; they are now allowed to enter the charts based on legal downloads only. The charts are provided by Media-Control.
