Description This is an example of the incredibly huge post retention capabilities of a commercial usenet provider.

This is a listing of the top 30 newgroups on Giganews, sampled on March 3rd, 2008, showing the number of retrievable posts in each group.

The weirdly-named alt.binaries.boneless group seems to be a catch-all for all sorts of media, from entire DVDs to individual mp3 files.
