[edit] Exaggerated use of the whammy bar

"Exagerated" [sic] seems like the wrong word here? Is there a better word for this? Frequent, habitual, heavy, immoderate, excessive, equipment-damaging? (I'm not a guitarist myself so I don't know which applies.) / edgarde 17:01, 7 January 2007 (UTC)

Yeah exaggerated isn't right. How about "highly expressive"? I think that gets the idea across. Later on it talks about his "agility with vibrato systems" but I definately think it should be mentioned as a major part of his technique.Tony Sh1te 21:54, 8 January 2007 (UTC)
"Highly expressive" sounds kinda POV — the degree of expressiveness is subjective to the listener. How about "distinctive"? Is he "inventive"?
Listening to golden age Soviet jazz this week. Don't wanna break the spell by A/B-ing shredders. / edgarde van holdsworth 22:14, 8 January 2007 (UTC)
Hmmmm. "Inventive use of vibrato systems". Yeah it kinda understates the way he used 'em but yeah that'll do. He was certainly inventive allright, not least in his use of the whammy bar.
