[edit] License tagging for Image:ESC winners.gif
Thanks for uploading Image:ESC winners.gif. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.
For more information on using images, see the following pages:

[edit] Orphaned fair use image (Image:Artist-298582-1206919.jpg)
This file may be deleted. |
Thanks for uploading Image:Artist-298582-1206919.jpg. I notice the 'image' page currently specifies that the image is unlicensed for use on Wikipedia and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful.
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Nv8200p talk 19:06, 27 September 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Online Song Contests
I have added a "{{prod}}" template to the article Online Song Contests, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but I don't believe it satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and I've explained why in the deletion notice (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). Please either work to improve the article if the topic is worthy of inclusion in Wikipedia, or, if you disagree with the notice, discuss the issues at its talk page. Removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, but the article may still be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached, or if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria. [edit] Non-free use disputed for Image:A new era.jpg
This file may be deleted. |
Thanks for uploading Image:A new era.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read carefully the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content and then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies.
If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our Criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.Betacommand (talk • contribs • Bot) 05:03, 25 May 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:Mrworld2007.jpg
Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:Mrworld2007.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use. Suggestions on how to do so can be found here.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 23:22, 5 June 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Copyright violation in Cyprus in the Eurovision Song Contest 2008
Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Cyprus in the Eurovision Song Contest 2008, by another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Cyprus in the Eurovision Song Contest 2008 is unquestionably copyright infringement, and no assertion of permission has been made.

A tag has been placed on Croatia in the Eurovision Song Contest 2008 requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing little or no context to the reader. [edit] Please stop
A tag has been placed on an article you created, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion debate, such as articles for deletion. If you can indicate how {{{1}}} is different from the previously posted material, or if you can indicate why this article should not be deleted, I advise you to place the template {{hangon}} underneath the other template on the article, and also put a note on [[Talk:{{{1}}}]] saying why this article should stay. An admin should check for such edits before deleting the article. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Please read our criteria for speedy deletion, particularly item 4 under General criteria. If you believe the original discussion was unjustified, please feel free to use deletion review, but do not continue to repost the article if it is deleted. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. We welcome your help in trying to improve Wikipedia, and we request you to follow these instructions. [edit] Consensus and Eurovision Song Contest 2008
After a discussion on the talk page which you were involved in, it was decided that the list form was the best way of showing the commentators for the 2008 Contest. Reverting this change goes against Wikipedia's rules on consensus. I can see that your focus is on improving the article, but reverting consensus-backed edits is unconstructive. Chwech 22:01, 20 January 2008 (UTC)
Just because, 3 people (who know eachother) say it was better the 2007 list.. Doesn't mean anything.. That list makes the website way too long, and the page might not fit into wikipedia's standards anyways.. Why you cannot just leave it with the table for this year and see how it goes.. I don't understand your roles, ALMOST ALL WIKIPEDIA PAGES have TABLES so the pages aren't too long.. Almost all the changes I've made to the pages (Academy Awards, Grammy Awards, Eurovision, Miss World) had been accepted in the past.. But now, just because 3 escfans (who never like changes) say NO to the new format, then we cannot change it.. Everyone knows a list bullet looks disastrous and takes alot of space from the page.. They don't even have a basis to say what they're doing.. They say 'do not put the broadcaster' but they're listing the broadcasters in the list as well.. Why you cannot try new things? I've changed it back to the table.. I think we would need alot more of support in order to take it off.. They're saying the table looks bad and confusing.. and is not even done yet... Give it a couple of days.. If people start complaining again then take it off.. Just because 3 members (who might know eachother since they're always backin eachother) say no to the changes.. You don't let the changes to happen.. I am asking you a favour to keep the table for a few days more until the article is more developed and other people contribute.

Hello. Im writing here telling you to not remove the commentators section again. It is getting extremely controversial and is going against the wishes of a couple of users, notably me and Camaron. Please do not do it. --Robotico2 (talk) 18:39, 22 January 2008 (UTC)Robotico2

[edit] Eurovision Official Artist and Song Names
Kalomoira has been changed to Kalomira for Eurovision. This was done in order for the name to be pronounced accurately. This is confirmed on Eurovision.tv and in the Greek Preview video. Do not change it.
The Belgian song title has changed to "O Julissi". This is confirmed by the official Eurovision website so do not change it.
The Portuguese song has been renamed from just "Senhora Do Mar" to "Senhora do Mar (Negras Águas)." This is confirmed on the official Eurovision.tv website so do not change it. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Evilperson 20 (talk • contribs) 19:40, March 21, 2008
