List of the Day/List of the Month
Subpages Today's featured list is: United States Navy enlisted rates This month's featured list is: List of countries without armed forces
United States Navy enlisted rates are used to display where an enlisted sailor falls within the chain of command and are also defined as pay grade. Enlisted pay grade is a numbering system from junior enlisted member to senior, labeled E-1 through E-9, and is the same across all five branches of the U.S. Military. Rates are displayed on a rating badge, which is a combination of rate and rating. E-1s through E-3s have color coded group rate marks based on their career field. (More...) This is a list of countries without armed forces. The term "country" is used in the sense of independent state; thus, it applies only to sovereign states and not dependencies, whose defense is the responsibility of another country or an army alternative. The term "armed forces" refers to any government-sponsored defense used to further the domestic and foreign policies of their respective government. (More...)

It is possible that as a nominator of a WP:LOTDC you may have some responsibilities during the candidacy. Thus, a list without an active nominator should be adopted by a new nominator for the LOTD process. We will be accepting feedback during the nearly three week consideration of LOTDs. A nominator may want to edit an article based on early feedback. Thus, an active editor should nominate an article. You may want to check the history tab on the article for any editor who may have an active interest in the article. You may also want to check with some of the leading editors of the article based on this edit count tool to see who may have a vested interest in the articles other than the original WP:FLC nominator. When using the tool note that if the link you are using is a redirect you won't get the information you are looking for. You should input the actual page a list is at. You may need to work out who should nominate the article, but if there is any doubt you should probably just be bold and take the initiative to adopt the orphan. Once you have adopted an article use the strikethrough. If you see an article has been demoted you should remove it from this page. The following section is for WP:FLs with inactive nominators:

Officially inactive:

Lengthy inactivity:

The list above was posted in November and December of 2007. I have not done a complete check of all the FL since then. However, in March an audit of nominators with more than 2 FLs only revealedGeraldk had been inactive for a lengthy period of time. His articles were added to the above list on May 1st.
