From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Tony Witter (born in London, August 12, 1965) was an English soccer player during the 1980s and 1990s.

Witter was a central defender who played for numerous clubs during his career including Millwall, Scunthorpe United and Bohemians amongst others. He spent nearly 7 years at Millwall making 104 league appearances, scoring 2 goals. He made a solitary appearance for Bohemians when he appeared against Galway United in December 1999.

He was notable for being accepted by Millwall supporters at a time in which they had a reputation for racial intolerance.[1][2]

He held the record for the quickest goal scored for Plymouth Argyle by a player on his debut until Jamie Mackie broke it on February 12, 2008 against Barnsley.[3]
