Tony Williams (singer)

Tony Williams (5 April 1928 New Jersey, USA – 14 August 1992 New York, USA) was the lead singer for The Platters from 1953 to 1960. Williams was born in Elizabeth, New Jersey, and died in New York of emphysema.

On the Mercury record label 45rpm release of the Platters' song, "My Prayer", Williams is listed as 'Tony Wilson'.
