Anthony Siragusa[1] (born May 14, 1967 in Kenilworth, New Jersey) is a former American football defensive tackle who spent twelve seasons in the NFL with the Indianapolis Colts and the Baltimore Ravens. His nickname is Goose, which is derived from the pronunciation of his last name.

[edit] Early life
Siragusa attended David Brearley High School in Kenilworth, New Jersey. In high school, he played football as well being a member of the wrestling team. He was the New Jersey state wrestling champion with a 97-1 career record. In football, he played defensive line, punted and place kicked. He had a 39-yard punting average and was 15-18 on PATs.
Upon completion of high school, Siragusa attended the University of Pittsburgh where he was a member of the football program from 1986 through 1989.

Siragusa signed with the Indianapolis Colts in 1990 as an undrafted free agent. He remained with the team through the 1996 season.
In 1997, Siragusa signed with the Baltimore Ravens. He was a key part of the 2000 Baltimore Ravens defense that allowed the fewest total points in NFL regular season history. He, along with his huge habitus, helped lead the Ravens to their first Super Bowl in franchise history in Super Bowl XXXV where they beat the New York Giants, 34-7.
Siragusa retired following the 2001 season. He finished his career with 562 tackles (416 solo), 22 sacks, five forced fumbles, nine fumble recoveries for 12 yards, and 28 pass deflections in 170 career games.[2]

Since retiring, Siragusa has launched a career in television and film acting. He appeared in Spike Lee's 2002 film, 25th Hour playing a member of the Russian mafia. He has also appeared in several episodes of the HBO series The Sopranos, playing bodyguard Frankie Cortese.
Currently, he is a sideline reporter for FOX Sports's NFL coverage in the same crew as Kenny Albert and Daryl Johnston. Goose also serves as the co-host for the DIY Network show, Man Caves. [3]
During the National Football League season, Siragusa also appears on 1050 ESPN Radio (WEPN, New York) as part of their pre-Monday Night Football show, from Tiffany's restaurant, in Pine Brook, New Jersey.
Siragusa is also in the barbecue pork business. His products are marketed under the name Goose's Baby Back Ribs.
In the fall of 2008, Siragusa is demoted to #3 sideline reporter. He is replaced by Tom Waddle as a #2 sideline reporter.

Siragusa married his wife, Kathy, on April 22, 1995. The two have one daughter, Samantha Rose.
