Tony Schumacher (born December 25, 1969 in California), is an American drag racer, currently competing in the NHRA top fuel class, of which he is a five-time champion, winning the last four years consecutively (2004-2007). In 1999 he was the first driver to exceed 330 MPH in competition.[citation needed] He also has the world record for fastest 1/4 mile top fuel run 337.58 MPH.[citation needed] He drives for the Don Schumacher Racing team in a top fuel dragster and his sponsor is the United States Army; his nickname is "The Sarge". Schumacher is the son of legendary funny car driver Don Schumacher. He enjoys playing guitar. He also co-owns and operates a home brewing and winemaking supply business called Perfect Brewing Supply. He is not related to the 7 time Formula One world Champion Michael Schumacher.
