Tony Sargeant

Tony Sargeant is a British aikido teacher who started aikido in 1973. He trained in a number of different styles before meeting Morihiro Saito in 1983 and deciding to follow his Iwama style of aikido. He was taught by Morihiro Saito in Japan and at numerous seminars around the world. This culminated in the award of his 5th dan by Morihiro Saito. He was later rewarded 6th dan.

Sargeant and Paul McGlone are the principals of the organisation Takemusu Iwama Aikido GB, which is affiliated to the Takemusu Aikido Association (TAA) and the British Aikido Board. He now lives in Greece, where he has opened the Korina Aikido Club.
