Tony Särkkä, who goes by the stage name It, is a Swedish multi-instrumentalist who has played in many black metal bands. He plays guitar, drums and bass guitar as well as doing vocals. He is joined by Jim Berger in many projects. His projects include Abruptum, Ophthalamia, Vondur, Incision, Brejn Dedd, War, 8th Sin. He also contributed guest vocals to Dissection's second album Storm of the Light's Bane. His surname "Särkkä"[citation needed] is a Finnish name, which could mean that he has Finnish father, mother or ancestors.
Särkkä's former girlfriend, Alexandra Balogh contributed to Dissection's Storm of the Light's Bane as well as Vondur albums.It is also believed that he has a necklace made of Mayhem's late frontman Dead. The necklace was sent to him by Mayhem's guitar player Euronymous.[citation needed]
