Tony Moreira (November 7, 1969) is an American actor, University Professor, and Radio Disney personality.
Tony holds a Fine Arts degree in acting from Salem State College (Salem, Massachusetts, United States), and has featured credits in film, television, and theatre. Recent projects include Walt Disney Pictures' Underdog, CBS Television's Waterfront, and ESPN's The Bronx is Burning. He also performs in various fringe stage productions in the New England area, where such works as Molasses Tank's An Evening of Havel: Audience, and Blue City's The Blue Room have gained him positive review and recognition.[1][2]
Notably, In addition to his theatrical profession, Tony has also had a long career in the technology field and is a Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) and a Microsoft Certified Trainer (MCT). He was once employed (1996-2002) by the very successful entertainment software publisher Hasbro Interactive (a now defunct division of the Hasbro Toy company which eventually came to be known as Atari through acquisition) as the company’s Information Technology Manager from its conception through its demise. During his time in the video game industry, he earned published technical credit for contribution and support on dozens of entertainment titles for the PC, Playstation, Nintendo, and Sega game consoles such as NASCAR Heat (where he has his own car in the game: #118), Rollercoaster Tycoon, Monopoly Star Wars Edition, and Frogger.
After the fall of Hasbro Interactive, Tony took up acting and also became a regular New England personality for Radio Disney's Providence, Rhode Island station WDDZ AM 550 (2006 - Present). He also continues his interest in technology by teaching Microsoft technologies at higher education institutions such as Boston University, University of Connecticut, and Johnson & Wales University.
