Tony Mason served as the head football coach at the University of Arizona from 1977 to 1979. He compiled a 16-18-1 record during his tenure. He also served as the head football coach at the University of Cincinnati from 1973 to 1976. He compiled a 25-19 record at Cincinnati including an 8-3 record in 1976. He was also the head football coach at Niles McKinley High School where the Red Dragons won Ohio State Championships in 1961 and 1963. He was elected to the Ohio High School Athletic Association Hall of Fame in 2002.
