Tony Karon is a journalist from Cape Town, South Africa and has been living in New York since 1993. He is currently a senior editor at TIME.com and provides insightful commentary on world affairs especially regarding the Middle East and the “war on terror”. In the past he worked as an activist for the banned ANC in South Africa.

Currently he maintains and frequently comments on his blog Rootless Cosmopolitan.
