[edit] Anthem mispronunciation

Before the England versus Croatia football match on November 21, 2007 at Wembley Stadium, he mispronounced the final line of the Croatian national anthem. He should have said "Mila kuda si planina" which roughly means "You know, my dear, how we love your mountains". Instead he said "Mila kura si planina" which can be interpreted as "My dear, my penis is a mountain." [3]

Note that the word "kura" is outdated and is not in general use. It is known to appear occasionally as a word for curing or healing. "This is my kura" would translate to "This is my medicine." In today's terms it can also refer to tea. The usual word for "penis" is "kurac".
