Tontine is described as a combination of Survivor and The Amazing Race. Tontine will follow 15 contestants as they invest their entire net worth to travel to all seven continents in 100 days and contend for a $10 million prize. Contestants will each start with a key, and the final contestant who possesses all 15 keys wins the game and unlocks the grand prize. The show is to be hosted by "Boston Rob" Mariano, who was a contestant on both Survivor and The Amazing Race before signing on for Tontine.
Filming is scheduled to start in January of 2008 and the show may air in the Fall of 2008.[1]
