While 'Tonight the Prom' was officially formed in the Spring of 2006 the roots of the band go further back. Andrew and Jordan had been playing music together since childhood as they grew up in the same neighborhood, Schiller Park. Andrew and Jordan attended a summer program called 'DayJams' in their early teen years where they would meet Luke and Jarad. The four began writing music together after DayJams finished for the season and soon after were looking to record some of their songs.

Through a family member of the band, Ryan Manno (Q101.1 Chicago) got a hold of their early recording and passed it along to his engineer, John Gaskill, a Chicago producer. John immediately saw the potential in Tonight the Prom. Andrew, Jordan, Jarad, and Luke began writing, performing, and recording and John took on a larger role for TTP as manager.

Throughout 2007 TTP began performing at larger venues in and around Chicago including Metro, House of Blues, Logan Square Auditorium, and First Midwest Band Amphitheater during Chicago's Warped Tour. The award-winning TTP took top 10 in 2007's Ernie Ball Battle of the Bands winning a popularity contest amongst over 13,500 bands.

Currently Tonight the Prom is entering Chicago Recording Company to record their next EP with Dave Riley. Songs set to be released in late June of 2008.
