[edit] Biography

His nickname is the X man because his wide shoulders, tiny waist, and flaring quads give his body the appearance of making an X. He's also big enough to look like a super hero.

He did not become a professional until his late 30s because it took him many years to fill out his large frame. However, he is now one of the largest and most aesthetic bodybuilders of all time. If he comes in shredded, he is a factor in any show he enters.

Toney's first NPC (National Physique Committee) competition was in 1993, where he won the heavyweight class of the NPC Junior Nationals. His first IFBB event was the Night of Champions competition, where he placed 11th. His first Arnold Classic was in 2005, where he placed 10th. His first Ironman Pro Invitational was in 2006, where he placed 7th. His first Mr. Olympia was in 2006, where he placed 7th.

Toney currently resides in Atlanta, Georgia. Recently Toney Freeman was schedule to compete at the Australia Grand Prix, but due to passport problems was unable to compete in Australia.
