This article doesn't explain what actually happened. Why did he lose? Why was he unsupported by usual backers? What happened in the TV interview that injured him?! 193.129.65.37 06:20, 9 February 2006 (UTC)

  • Northup had a strong reputation (especially in 2004) for getting funding for Jefferson County projects. Miller, whether he deserved it or not, was portrayed as being less than likely to be able to do as good a job. Even democrat mayor of Louisville Jerry Abramson voted for the republican Northup (per a CJ story). Basically... no matter how qualified or well intentioned Miller may have been, he came off badly in the debates and provided plenty of material for very damaging campaign ads from Northup. That's how I recall it at least. I will expand this article eventually. --W.marsh 23:28, 23 December 2006 (UTC)
