Does anyone know what SF story is the album based on?

That's kind of like asking what horror story any of Rob Zombie's music is based off of. This album is more of a pastiche of 1950s sci-fi movie concepts or at least basic memes ("Son of X-51," for example, follows a standard 50s robot meme but has nothing to do with 'When Worlds Collide') just like Rob Zombie's albums are pastiches of standard horror fare, with an emphasis on grindhouse/undead flicks. That being said, the album's set of probable inspirations /is/ rather broad. Most people think that "Watch the Sky For Me" is just some sort of weird non sequitur outro, but it has a /lot/ in common with Vangelis' "One More Kiss, Dear" from the 'Blade Runner' soundtrack. --The Centipede 10:42, 16 May 2007 (UTC)
It doesn't have a "lot" in common... it's the exact same melody and structure and song. Only difference is different lyrics, different background vocals, and sound effects. AndarielHalo (talk) 19:10, 5 March 2008 (UTC)
