[edit] POV
Quoted from the article: "This outstanding career makes it easy to see that Toni Basil is the greatest artist of all time."
I don't know what this is. Firstly this is a personal point of view, and secondly it has a strong sense of sarcasm, should this be in here? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 59.167.67.34 (talk • contribs) 09:58, 10 June 2005
- The answer is no. Please Please sign your posts on talk pages per Wikipedia:Sign your posts on talk pages. Thanks! Hyacinth 17:19, 7 August 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Graduation
The article seems to state that Ms. Basil graduated high school at age 40. Is this correct?--MichaelCaricofe 09:46, 22 June 2006 (UTC)
No. It states that she wore the uniform of the school from which she graduated. There is nothing in the sentence about the cheerleader uniform to indicate when she graduated. --Insley 17:00, 23 August 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Age seems off
Ok, where is the source for this age, most other sources put it anywhere between 1943 to 1950. 1938 would make her 44 at the time Mickey was shot, which seems a bit off. - lturner80, 3rd Jan 2007
[edit] Toni Basil died?
I haven't been able to find any information on any other website regarding Toni Basil's death (even the fact that she died). Are you sure this is correct? It seems odd - you stated she died of natural causes, but she wasn't that old, really. Just wondering if you have any other information or sources. Thanks very much! - She's not dead; it was a vandal. Crumbsucker 04:11, 15 February 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Lyric interpretation
I removed the claim that the lyric "I'll take it like a man" in "Mickey" was meant to imply anal sex. Reliable sources for this claim are in short supply; the most reliable source I am aware of was a possibly ironic claim in a review of an unrelated album. However, the exact same line appeared in the lyric when the song was called "Kitty" and sung by a male singer addressing a woman, a context in which it would probably have had to have a different meaning. Anyway, the interpretation of the lyrics of "Mickey" should be discussed, if at all, in Mickey (song) rather than in the overall biography of Toni Basil. --99.140.179.169 (talk) 06:03, 31 May 2008 (UTC)
