[edit] Image:GBR_rail_passenegers_by_year.gif dataset

Hello Tompw. I was looking your graph of passenger numbers over time. Do you still have the spreadsheet with the numbers in so that it can be regenerated in a vector format. The spreadsheet is also the "source code" of the graph and should allow easy re-creation when more years of data become available. (Soon it looks like passenger numbers may exceed those in the 1950s blip! Many thanks. —Sladen (talk) 14:08, 12 March 2008 (UTC)

I put the dataset on the image page. Journeys for 2007/07 (labelled as 2007) were the highest since 1946... there was a big jump of 7.6%, taking things well above the 1950s bump. I also have data for passenger-km if you think that would be useful graph to have. (The data for that only goes back to 1946... 2006/7 saw 46.5bn, the hoghest since 1946's record of 47.0). [edit] Portal:Formula One

Thanks for your work on automating the transition of selected articles and pictures!-- Diniz (talk) 17:43, 18 March 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Wikipedia:FCDW/March 31, 2008

Tom, that article is ready for publication, was written by someone else, and your changes aren't improving it. Did MER-C ask you to work on it? SandyGeorgia (Talk) 19:07, 31 March 2008 (UTC)

Well, I'm worried that he mentioned that he's offline, and you're introducing a lot of typos, significant changes, and grammatical errors. SandyGeorgia (Talk) 19:17, 31 March 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Portals

I've added Algebra and Topology to Portal:Contents/Portals. Nice work on those :) -- Quiddity (talk) 20:19, 6 April 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Maths portals

I responded on my talk page. I also created Portal:Number theory and Portal:Discrete mathematics. I transferred some selected articles from topology to discrete mathematics. Since the number of portals grow, we'll have to modify Portal:Mathematics/RelatedPortals, maybe this way ? CenariumTalk 13:31, 12 April 2008 (UTC)

No problem with overlaps, it also depends on the number of selectable articles in topology. You can work on number theory too. I'm not very experienced in templates, I created Portal:Number theory/Topics based on Portal:Set theory/Topics, and I'd like to link List of number theory topics. I think that Portal:Mathematics/RelatedPortals is nice like this. I'm not sure that the tab-based system can be implemented in a portal. CenariumTalk 14:59, 12 April 2008 (UTC)
I changed the background colour of Portal:Category theory/box-header. I'd like to keep blue-based colours for category theory. Change the colours of Number Theory and Discrete as you like. CenariumTalk 17:04, 12 April 2008 (UTC)
I changed the colours of category theory. Yeah, I like category theory and logic, but topology and algebra also, mathematical physics is interesting. I'm not specialized yet. CenariumTalk 18:02, 12 April 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Wikimedia Canada

Hey, Tompw. I don't know whether you are much into projects outside of Wikipedia, but I'd like to hear your input on the formation of meta:Wikimedia Canada before we end up locking the bylaws for submission in a few weeks. --Arctic Gnome (talkcontribs) 06:21, 13 April 2008 (UTC)

[edit] User:Tompw/bookshelf

Kudos to you for User:Tompw/bookshelf ... truly excellent magic. But you don't appear to consider the size implications of images, nor do you have a note noting this. I'm sure you've thought about the image issue, but tell me: we can presumably make an assumption or stipulation about the print size of images, but do we have a clue about the average number of images per article? And is it worth the candle to go in this direction & recalculate the size including images? --Tagishsimon (talk) 18:54, 23 April 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Wikipedia talk:Featured list criteria

Could do with an experienced head here. Two editors trying their best don't make a community. I'd appreciate if you could participate and help formulate our new criteria. Colin°Talk 22:29, 10 May 2008 (UTC)

[edit] AfD nomination of National Football League team season lists

I have nominated National Football League team season lists, an article you created, for deletion. I do not feel that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/National Football League team season lists. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time. Do you want to opt out of receiving this notice? Buc (talk) 20:05, 14 May 2008 (UTC)

[edit] WP:LOTD

List of Newfoundland and Labrador general elections was selected as a WP:LOTD for one day in June and will be the LOTD during the month. Let me know before May 23rd if you have any date preferences.--TonyTheTiger (t/c/bio/WP:CHICAGO/WP:LOTM) 02:54, 21 May 2008 (UTC)

[edit] A Featured List contest

Grettings. FL directors Scorpion0422 and The Rambling Man have decided to run a contest for FL contributors. We are trying to get some interest in the process and get some FLs for the under-represented topics. If you would like to learn more about this contest, you can find such information here. If you are uninterested in it, then you could still help out by reviewing FLCs submitted by the entrants. Thanks for the time, Scorpion0422 18:25, 10 June 2008 (UTC)
