[edit] Image copyright problem with Image:Füssens_Wappen.gif
Thanks for uploading Image:Füssens_Wappen.gif. However, the image may soon be deleted unless we can determine the copyright holder and copyright status. The Wikimedia Foundation is very careful about the images included in Wikipedia because of copyright law (see Wikipedia's Copyright policy).
The copyright holder is usually the creator, the creator's employer, or the last person who was transferred ownership rights. Copyright information on images is signified using copyright templates. The three basic license types on Wikipedia are open content, public domain, and fair use. Find the appropriate template in Wikipedia:Image copyright tags and place it on the image page like this: {{TemplateName}}
.
Please signify the copyright information on any other images you have uploaded or will upload. Remember that images without this important information can be deleted by an administrator.
This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you have questions about copyright tagging of images, post on Wikipedia talk:Image copyright tags or User talk:Carnildo/images. 12:01, 23 February 2006 (UTC)
Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia! We welcome and appreciate your contributions, such as Buffalo Sabres, but we regretfully cannot accept original research. Please be prepared to cite a reliable source for all of your information. Thanks for your efforts, and happy editing! Yankees76 19:19, 12 March 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Allentown, Buffalo, New York
Hi, good job with getting something up on Allentown. My goal is to put up articles for every neighborhood in Buffalo. This way, eventually people from all over the city can add the things they want to their 'home' neighborhood page. So, if you have anything more, please contribute!
[edit] Darwin Martin image copyright
Are you sure that Image:Darwin Martin House - 2004.jpg is okay to use, and licensed correctly? It's clearly a cropped version of one of Peter Beers' photos from http://www.peterbeers.net/interests/flw_rt/New_York/Darwin_Martin_House/darwin_martin_house.htm . The copy you uploaded to Wikipedia claims to be GFDL, but does not give Beers credit or indicate that he gave permission. I've replaced the image on the Martin House page, but it's used other places as well. Davepape 19:12, 15 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Sprotect
Hi Tommycw1. FYI, only administrators can semi-protect or fully protect articles. Adding the template doesn't actually prevent anyone from editing the article. ~MDD4696 00:59, 6 July 2006 (UTC)
- Thanks for keeping an eye on the Buffalo, New York article. Fight vandalism! Stepp-Wulf 00:41, 6 October 2006 (UTC).
[edit] Your edit to I-190 (NY)
I reverted your removal of Category:Tolled sections of Interstate Highways, which says it is for "current or former toll roads on the Interstate Highway System". --NE2 00:18, 31 October 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Image copyright problem with Image:Wappen_donauwoerth.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Wappen_donauwoerth.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the copyright status of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the copyright status of the image on the image's description page, using an appropriate copyright tag, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided copyright information for them as well.
For more information on using images, see the following pages:

[edit] Frederick Law Olmsted
Buffalo State Asylum and New York State Asylum for the Insane were both on the list, and they both go to the same article. Thats why I removed one, and have removed it again. Cornell Rockey 13:10, 25 March 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Speedy deletion
Don't worry - it will (hopefully) get round to being deleted. Category:Candidates for speedy deletion has 144 articles in it - it is a matter of time. x42bn6 Talk 02:14, 18 April 2007 (UTC)

[edit] smallest urban area
Hi, I wish you'd take a look at the talk on the Metro Rail talk page. Note that I changed 'city" to "urban area." I realize that I don't have a cite but five minutes of poking around on Wikipedia will illustrate this fact. --Jfruh (talk) 21:19, 21 April 2007 (UTC)
- Hello, please have a look at the following Wikipedia policy Wikipedia:No_original_research. Basically it says that Wikipedia is not meant as a place for original reseach and it is just a place to collect already researched information that is source from other locations. I understand how you feel, I sometimes have the same feelings about writing 'facts', but unless you can point to a place where this has been published, your "five minutes of poking around on Wikipedia" is original research and not allowed on Wikipedia.

[edit] Orphaned non-free image (Image:Wappen donauwoerth.jpg)
Thanks for uploading Image:Wappen donauwoerth.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BetacommandBot 00:30, 14 May 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:Mooglogo.jpg
Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:Mooglogo.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use. Suggestions on how to do so can be found here.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 23:41, 5 June 2007 (UTC)
- I added rational to the image description page. I hope that this is acceptable.

- Um, not sure why you think that this is orphaned, the bottom of the image's page shows that it is in fact linked to the Moog, Inc Article. I removed this orphaned tag from the image page.

[edit] Image source problem with Image:Darwin Martin House - Window.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Darwin Martin House - Window.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, their copyright should also be acknowledged.
As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 10:52, 7 September 2007 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Liftarn 10:52, 7 September 2007 (UTC)
