[edit] Speedy Deletion Of Captain Flag
A tag has been placed on Captain Flag, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article appears to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.
If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion. To do this, add {{hangon}}
on the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag) and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.
For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. -- Djmckee1 - Talk 17:39, 4 July 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Speedy Deletion
Hello Tomelle1, Please Do Not Remove Speedy Deletion Templates as you did on Captain Flag. This had been requested for speedy deletion as it does not make sense nor is it notable enough for Wikipedia. See WP:BIO For more information on Biographies. Thanks, Djmckee1 - Talk 17:45, 4 July 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Captain Flag
If This Artice is not deleted, it will need much improvement, See WP:BIO for more biographies on Wikipedia. Firstly I would start by adding an infobox. Then Possibly Pictures. Djmckee1 - Talk 17:51, 4 July 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Duplicate images uploaded
Thanks for uploading Image:Tom Townsend.JPG. A machine-controlled robot account noticed that you also uploaded the same image under the name Image:Smiley shot wit myspace.tm.JPG. The copy called Image:Smiley shot wit myspace.tm.JPG has been marked for speedy deletion since it is redundant. If this sounds okay to you, there is no need for you to take any action.
This is an automated message- you have not upset or annoyed anyone, and you do not need to respond. In the future, you may save yourself some confusion if you supply a meaningful file name and refer to 'my contributions' to remind yourself exactly which name you chose (file names are case sensitive, including the extension) so that you won't lose track of your uploads. For tips on good file naming, see Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions about this notice, or feel that the deletion is inappropriate, please contact User:Staecker, who operates the robot account. Staeckerbot 18:45, 4 July 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Tom J Townsend
A tag has been placed on Tom J Townsend, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done for the following reason:
Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not meet very basic Wikipedia criteria may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as an appropriate article, and if you can indicate why the subject of this article is appropriate, you may contest the tagging. To do this, add {{hangon}}
on the top of the page and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm its subject's notability under the guidelines.
For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Atlan (talk) 00:40, 5 July 2007 (UTC)
Please do not remove speedy deletion notices from articles you have created yourself, as you did with Tom J Townsend. Please use the {{hangon}} template on the page instead if you disagree with the deletion. Thank you.--Atlan (talk) 00:43, 5 July 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Your request for help
I'm sorry Tom, but you really should start with reading all the Wikipedia policies, such as Wikipedia:Notability, before you start creating pages. Also, creating pages of yourself should be avoided, since that constitutes a clear conflict of interest. You're allowed to write a little about yourself on your own user page, though. Why don't you start there? Beware though, even your own user page is subject to Wikipedia policies.--Atlan (talk) 00:57, 5 July 2007 (UTC)
[edit] July 2007
Please stop. If you continue to ignore our policies by introducing inappropriate pages, such as Tom J Townsend, to Wikipedia, you will be blocked. Momusufan 02:33, 5 July 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Blocked
- As a side note: No you cannot add yourself to Wikipedia like you can add yourself to the IMDb. For one thing, this creates a conflict of interest which breaches the notion that articles on Wikipedia should be neutral in tone. Secondly, nobody should add an article on Wikipedia whose content cannot be attributed to reliable, published, third-party sources and I'm afraid there is no such source in your case.
