I have read some of your words and you appear quite wise. Sgt_Howie

[edit] Deletion Policy

It seems to me that the deletionist-inclusionist conflict is exacerbated by having a central place for all deletion discussion. The central page could instead be only a list of nominated articles and each decision could be made on the article's talk page. This eliminate the problem of the deletion page being unmanagebly long. But more importantly, decentralizing the system would discourage ideologically motivated contributions to the discussion (e.g. voting to delete b/c identify as a deletionist). I can personally attest to the seductive appeal of pushing a policy on the deletion page; when I first joined, I leaned towards deletion because of perfectionist ideals. I think discussing deletion as part of disscussing the article would tend to restrict the discussion to those who care about the article for it's own sake, rather than as part of their ideological crusade.
