==Welcome== Hello Tomas417 and welcome to Wikipedia! I'm glad you've chosen to join us. This is a great project with lots of dedicated people, which might seem intimidating at times, but don't let anything discourage you. Be bold!, explore, and contribute. Try to be civil by following simple guidelines and signing your talk comments with ~~~~ but never forget that one of our central tenets is to ignore all rules.

Float around until you find something that tickles your fancy. One easy way to do this is to hit the random page button in the navigation bar to the left. Additionally, the Community Portal offers a more structured way to become acquainted with the many great committees and groups that focus on specific tasks. My personal favorite stomping grounds are Wikipedia:Translation into English as well as the cleanup, welcoming, and counter-vandalism committees. Finally, the Wikimedia Foundation has several other wiki projects that you might enjoy. If you have any more questions, always feel free to ask me anything on my talk page. [edit] St. Luke's Episcopal Church, Cincinnati

A tag has been placed on St. Luke's Episcopal Church, Cincinnati, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. If you plan to expand the article, you can request that administrators wait a while for you to add contextual material. To do this, affix the template {{hangon}} to the page and state your intention on the article's talk page. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. --Finngall talk 21:08, 27 April 2007 (UTC)

Welcome to Wikipedia. Please do not remove speedy deletion tags from articles that you have created yourself, as you did with St. Luke's Episcopal Church, Cincinnati. If you do not believe the article deserves to be deleted, then please place {{hangon}} on the page (please do not remove any existing speedy deletion tag) and make your case on the article's talk page. Administrators will look at your reasoning before deciding what to do with the article. Thank you. --Finngall talk 21:12, 27 April 2007 (UTC)
(shrug) I don't know about other editors, but I'm not psychic--I can only assess an article based on what's there, not what's going to be there, and right now, there's nothing there. If you're still working on it, that's what the "Show preview" button and subpages of your userpage are for. However, all articles that I tag remain on my watchlist until they're deleted, the tag is removed by a third party, or the article improves to the point where I feel comfortable removing the tag myself. Thanks. --Finngall talk 21:27, 27 April 2007 (UTC)

[edit] WP:Cincinnati

Thanks for having joined the project! I have a request. There is a discussion at Wikipedia:Categories_for_discussion/Log/2007_August_11#Category:Physicians_from_Cincinnati that if implemented will make way for the deletion of all profession-based entries at Category:People from Cincinnati. Your input would be appreciated. (Mind meal 16:44, 11 August 2007 (UTC))

[edit] Cedar Hill Cemetery

A Proposed Deletion template has been added to the article Cedar Hill Cemetery, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice explains why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may contest the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page. Also, please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. If you endorse deletion of the article, and you are the only person who has made substantial edits to the page, please add {{db-author}} to the top of the page. Karanacs 20:58, 31 October 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Speedy deletion of Calvary Episcopal Church (Louisville)

A tag has been placed on Calvary Episcopal Church (Louisville), requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia per speedy deletion criterion A1.

Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not meet basic Wikipedia criteria may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as an appropriate article, and if you can indicate why the subject of this article is appropriate, you may contest the tagging. To do this, add {{hangon}} on the top of the article and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm its subject's notability under the guidelines.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the article (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. faithless (speak) 04:16, 6 November 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Calvary Episcopal

Hi Tomas417,

I was possibly a bit hasty in nominating Calvary Episcopal Church (Louisville) for deletion, since the information you added seems to suggest notability. In the future I would suggest making sure that the article establishes notability from the very first edit, so that this sort of thing can be avoided. Also, remember that only admins should remove speedy delete templates from articles, even if the article is fine. Cheers, faithless (speak) 06:50, 6 November 2007 (UTC)

[edit] St. Margaret Mary Elementary School

Thanks for the fine job you're doing on edit patrol. However, you recently nominated St. Margaret Mary Elementary School for speedy deletion. Schools typically are not speedied. I removed the tag. Happy editing!--Esprit15d(admintalk to mecontribs) 15:29, 6 November 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Image tagging for Image:Bullitsburg b c.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:Bullitsburg b c.jpg. You don't seem to have said where the image came from or who created it. We requires this information to verify that the image is legally usable on Wikipedia, and because most image licenses require giving credit to the image's creator.

[edit] Unspecified source for Image:James_Findlay.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:James_Findlay.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, then you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, then their copyright should also be acknowledged.

As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 00:08, 9 January 2008 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. MECUtalk 00:08, 9 January 2008 (UTC)
