[edit] The Umby Dog
Is very real. It is a new breed discovered last week please leave it on the Dog Breed page. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 81.109.255.50 (talk) 16:23, 25 December 2007 (UTC)
- Please do present us with a citation for the discovery. I'd hate to think a breed of dog could remain undiscovered. --Tom Tresser (talk) 18:15, 25 December 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Monocane
And you're entitled to remove "non-notable" items without discussion based solely on your opinion. Don't you think that consensus might be useful. The mere fact that so many references from the entertainment world references it -- as a sort of inside joke -- clearly makes it notable, and makes it a suitable target for Wikipedia. I went to the monocane article when I heard it on a Matlock and wanted to know what it was. I found the article useful in my quest.
With your redirection, the information on what monocane is would be hidden in the body of the article, and its nature as a running (and therefore non-accidental) reference is not available at all.

I'm not sure why you persist on deleting information without gaining consensus or even engaging in discussion on this. I don't believe this arbitrary behavior is typical of you. Please, revert your changes and propose deletion and see if anyone else has an opinion on this. At least give your justifications and comments on the discussion page.
