P.S. One last helpful hint. To sign your posts like I did above (on talk pages, for example) use the '~' symbol. To insert just your name, type ~~~ (3 tildes), or, to insert your name and timestamp, use ~~~~ (4 tildes).

Thanks Meelar. Already been done. -- TomPreuss 17:03, 7 Jul 2004 (UTC)

[edit] Meetup

Your name is on the list at Wikipedia:Meetup/NYC for December 12. In case you forgot to check the page, the venue and time have been both been set. We are planning on meeting at the Moonstruck Diner at 1:30pm. Just wanted to let you know. -- Ram-Man (comment) (talk)[[]] 23:07, Dec 8, 2004 (UTC)

[edit] Rat Park

Hi Tom, I just saw your note on User:SlimVirgin/RatPark and I'm a bit confused because the edit history seems to show that you created the page, and yours is the only text on it. Have I got that wrong? SlimVirgin (talk) 20:57, Mar 28, 2005 (UTC)

Yes, I do have it wrong. ;-) Okay, I'll make sure nothing links to it, incl cats. Best, SlimVirgin (talk) 20:59, Mar 28, 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Hey Tom

Hey, it's me WikiFanatic. If you're Tom from the HRWiki, it's Homsar999 or Homsar here. How have you been doing? --WikiFanatic/HomsarTalk Contribs 13:51, 20 Sep 2005 (CDT)

Just fine, thanks. -- TomPreuss 19:53, 21 September 2005 (UTC)

[edit] block bot

Hi, I try to make as little information public as possible about the bot, and it's constantly being refined and modified in any case. -- Curps 12:00, 24 November 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Image:Tom Preuss and Jimbo Wales.jpg

Looks like you uploaded it on Dec. 19, 2004 -Nv8200p talk 03:53, 6 March 2006 (UTC)

Yes, it falls before that date but this image received "special" dispensation since it was uploaded by a Wikipedian and used on a User Page. Through a debate a few months ago, it was decided that images on user pages had to be "free" (GFDL, Creative Commons, Public domain, etc) and that any other license would be deleted regardless of when it was uploaded. I could not find the original debate, but here is a similar one about Image:Tim_Starling.jpg (which was also deleted). -Regards Nv8200p talk 13:31, 6 March 2006 (UTC)
