  1. Without {{Featured topic box}}: {{Featuredtopic|name of topic}} (this is backwards compatible with previous versions of the template)
  2. With {{Featured topic box}}: {{Featuredtopic|name=name of topic|ftbox=yes|title=title|count=number of articles|image=image name | imagesize=image | article=articles | ftstar=yes }}
    • name: the name of the topic, as used when nominating the topic for FT status
    • See {{Featured topic box}} for full documentation on the rest of the parameters
    • Use ftstar=yes when all articles in the topic are Featured Articles or Featured Lists.
    • The parameters image and imagesize are optional.
