The Tomono clan (伴野氏 Tomono-shi?) were a family line directly descended from the Ogasawara, occupying the province of Shinano by the Sengoku Period of Feudal Japan. Within the mid era of the Kamakura Shogunate, the Tomono would become directly involved in Adachi Yasumori's political conflict with Taira Yoritsune, effectively weakening their power to a large extent following Yasumori's suicide in 1285. At some variable time into the 16th century, the Tomono were presently residents of Shinano, and at length supported the Takeda up until the latter's desolation in 1582, at which they initially became a retainer family under the Tokugawa.
