The Tommy Murphy Cup 2005 began on July 16, 2005. It was the second year that this new element of the Bank of Ireland Football Championship was introduced. The final was played on Sunday, September 4 and The Tommy Murphy Cup was awarded to Tipperary after they beat Wexford at Croke Park, Dublin.
