Tommy LiPuma

Tommy LiPuma (born July 5, 1936) is an American music producer. In his long career, he has worked with many musicians, including Miles Davis, Al Jarreau, Anita Baker, Natalie Cole, Claudine Longet, Dave Mason, the Yellowjackets, Michael Franks, and Diana Krall. He has many Grammy Award nominations and 2 wins, including the father-daughter duet of Natalie Cole and her father Nat King Cole for the song "Unforgettable". He produced George Benson's 1976 album Breezin' . He has also worked with The Crusaders' Joe Sample, and co-produced, with Hugh McCracken, Dr. John's City Lights (1978) and Tango Palace (1979).
He was also closely involved with Blue Thumb Records from the outset.
He is currently chairman of the Verve Music Group.
