Tommy Briggs (27 November 1923 — 10 February 1984) was a professional footballer who played as a striker. He was born in Chesterfield and died in Grimsby.
Tommy still holds the unbeaten record of scoring 7 goals in succession for Blackburn against Bristol Rovers.
Tommy started his career at Grimsby in 1947, in 1950 he signed for Coventry but did not settle and signed for Birmingham but did not settle there either and signed for Blackburn he played 194 games and scored 140 goals for Rovers he returned to Grimsby in 1958 before finishing his career at Glentoran as player/manager.
