Tomisato (富里市 Tomisato-shi?) is a city located in Chiba, Japan.

After the 2000 Census, the town has more than 50,000 people, good enough to gain city status.

As of 2003, the city has an estimated population of 50,968 and the density of 945.43 persons per km². The total area is 53.91 km².

Tomisato was once located in Inba District until March 31, 2006. The town gained city status on April 1, 2002.
