Tomasz Starzewski (born 1961) is a British fashion designer, the owner of a well known London couture house.
The son of Polish parents who had emigrated to London in 1946, Starzewski's mother and grandmother both worked in fashion, and he had an ambition to be a designer from an early age. He has said "I'm third generation".[1]
He first hit the headlines when Victoria Lockwood wore a Starzewski dress for her marriage to Charles, Viscount Althorp, brother of Diana, Princess of Wales, in September 1989.[1] He was also a designer for the Princess of Wales herself.[2].
Starzewski has stated his philosophy as "Glamour, elegance, good design, luxury and friendly service".[2]
Starzewski is the principal of the Tomasz Starzewski Studio, a couture house in Stanhope Mews West, London.[2]
His models have included Lord Frederick Windsor, the son of Prince Michael of Kent, and he famously appeared on Da Ali G Show.
