Tom Stuifbergen

Tom Stuifbergen (born on September 26, 1988 in Breda, Netherlands), is a Professional Minor League Baseball pitcher in the Minnesota Twins organization. Stuifbergen is 6'4" and 240 lbs. Stuifbergen played for the Amsterdam Pirates in Holland. His repertoire includes a fastball that ranges from high 80s to low 90s, a changeup and a curveball.

[edit] Performance in the Dutch National Team
Stuifbergen made his debut for the Netherlands national baseball team on July 11th 2006 against Italy in the European Baseball Series. Stuifbergen was the winning pitcher throwing 6 shutout innings with 3 strikeouts, 1 walk and 5 hits. Later that year he made his second start for the Netherlands national baseball team at the Haarlem Baseballweek against Japan, he threw 4.2 innings with 1 strikeout, 1 walk, 8 hits, 4 earned runs and a 7.71 era. In November he played in the 2006 Intercontinental Cup where the team was runner-up to Cuba. Stuifbergen pitched 7.1 innings in 4 appearances. His record was 2-1 with 3 strikeouts, 3 walks, 9 hits and 3 earned runs and a 3.68 era.

Stuifbergen was signed as an undrafted free agent by the Minnesota Twins in 2006 and is currently based in Fort Myers, Florida in the Gulf Coast League (Rookie Ball)
